Garden Registration is a GO at Robson

Hello fellow gardeners,

It is now time to register and pay for your garden bed(s) for the 2021 growing season. This email offers all the information you need to secure your garden bed(s), so please read it carefully.

We have made changes to our Gardener Registration form to simplify the process. You will need to:

  • Complete the online Gardener Registration form

  • Pay for your garden fee (either online or with a cheque)

You have until April 15th to register and pay.

GARDENER REGISTRATION

To access the registration form, all you need is your email address. The form will then present you with a summary of the bed(s) you have been allocated and your garden fee and direct you on how to pay online or with a cheque.

***THE APP IS NOT YET MOBILE FRIENDLY. FOR BEST RESULTS, PLEASE COMPLETE THE FORM ON A DESKTOP OR LAPTOP COMPUTER***

No longer interested in gardening with us? No problem! Please follow this link, type in your email address, and click ‘Leave Garden’.

NO GARDEN EVENTS

We’re sad to say that there will be no Spring Meet-and-Greet event this year.
But you can head over to the garden and get growing any time. Just make sure you secure your bed(s) by registering and paying by April 15th.

COMPOST & WATER

Compost has arrived, so feel free to add a layer of it to your bed. There is a shovel and bucket in the garden shed (combo 000).

The water is now ON!

GREEN WASTE

As a reminder, please DO NOT put soil in the green waste bins. Soil in the green waste bin causes us all manner of headaches, so please help us out and keep the soil in your garden beds. If you pull up a big root ball, shake it out in your bed before tossing it in the bins. Please do not scrape off a layer of soil to make room for compost: the compost is there for top-dressing, not as a replacement for your current soil.

Thanks for your help with this!!!!

FAQ

Can I get additional beds for 2021?
Short answer: no. We are at capacity and will be prioritizing folks on our immensely long waitlist when beds do become available. Please do not pay for additional beds in hopes of claiming them––all this does is create headaches!

I don’t remember my bed numbers; is that a problem?
Not at all. All you need to access and complete the Gardener Registration form is the email address that’s associated with your garden beds. The form will provide you with a summary of the bed(s) that have been allocated to you by your garden manager.

I garden with another person. Which email address should I use to register?
Great question. Only one primary email address can be associated with your bed(s), so if you’re the primary gardener, try that email address first. If that doesn’t work, try your gardening partner’s email address. You can always reach out to confirm the primary email associated with your bed(s): garden@communitygardenbuilders.com.

What if I don’t want to garden any more?
To leave the garden, follow the link above, type in your email address, and click ‘Leave Garden’. We’re sad to see you go!

I want to reduce the number of beds I grow in. How should I go about this?
If you’d like to cut down on the number of beds you grow in, send us a quick email letting us know which bed(s) you’d like to keep for 2021. We’ll make the change in our backend and you’ll see the updated bed #s when you complete the Gardener Registration form. Please let us know BEFORE completing the form.

How much are garden beds again?
We charge $15/bed for the year (ie: until December 31st).

Does this mean the garden won’t close during 2021?
The garden is temporary, which means there’s no such thing as guarantees. That said, we’ll do our best to keep the garden open for the duration of the growing season. If anything changes, we’ll provide plenty of advance notice.

Feel free to reach out with any additional questions.
