Spring is quickly approaching

Hello Fellow Gardeners,

February has arrived at the Robson & Broughton garden and the official first day of spring is only 7 weeks away!

And that means, soon enough, you will be planting out your first early spring crops.

If you haven’t yet begun thinking about what you’re going to be growing this spring, you still have time.  Be sure to check out what you can start growing in February on this coastal B.C. planting chart.

Here’s a quick rundown of garden updates:

  • 2021 Registration

  • Compost Delivery

  • New Garden Manager

  • Help us grow

2021 REGISTRATION

The registration will be opening in April 2021 and you will be given the opportunity to register for the beds you had last year.

The details for this process will be emailed out in March, so be sure to look out for those emails.

Currently we are not changing any gardener’s beds or assigning additional beds as our registration is at capacity and the garden is full.

COMPOST DELIVERY

A nice big pile of compost will be delivered to the garden sometime in late March.  We recommend that you add this to your beds right away as it will give your plants a good boost for the 2021 growing season.

NEW GARDEN MANAGER

This will be my last update as the Garden Manager!  I first want to say big thank you to you all for being such an inspiring bunch of growers; I feel grateful for getting to watch so much tasty veg grown from the soil and also for the community interaction I received when I was at the garden.  I wish you all the best for this year's growing and I hope your yields are enormous!

Our team still will be here (garden@communitygardenbuilders.com) to answer any of your garden questions and to carry on the Garden Manager role.

HELP US GROW

Help us grow and create new garden spaces by reviewing us online! A quick Google rating will let us know how we're doing and will increase our online presence. Link here to review us on Google, it's only a few clicks!
